Really looking forward to "Hitchock.' Scarlett is my girl crush. And I'd pay to see Helen Mirren read the phone book.
We'll probably see "Argo" this week. Speaking of Dame Helen, I just caught "The Debt" last week. It was really good for the first half, but kind of falls apart after that. Helen makes it worth watching at least once though.

"Snow White and the Huntsman" was good fun. I loved Ian McShane as one of the dwarves and Charlene was pretty bad ass as the evil queen. Kristen Stewart is annoying as hell with her dead, soulless eyes, but she is a good actress, I'll give her that.

Just got back from "Seven Psychopaths." I was prepared for it to be goofy, implausible and very tongue-in-cheek. I wasn't disappointed. My wife, unfortunately, was looking for a solid plot. She didn't like it as much, but we still laughed a lot.

Oh I liked it. It has that manic "Hangover" energy with a lot of funny subplots and great performances. I don't know that I'd say "brilliant" but I had a good time.

Loved Argo.
After numerous recommendations, I finally watched Melancholia yesterday. Jesus fucking Christ, what a waste of time and energy! I didn't understand the casting in which John Hurt and Charlotte Rampling have one American daughter and one French daughter. Alex Sarsgaard managed to be an unappealing oaf.
Apparantly, most of the raves from my male friends were due to Kirsten Dunst's nude scenes. Poor girl is too young to be that saggy.

Do not get Kirsten Dunst. At all.

She did adopt the brother of my mother's cat. I wonder of the kitty is also a 26-pounder.

Next week I'm going to the LACMA screening of Htchcock. There's a q & a with Sacha Gervasi. I'm extra excited because he wrote The Big Tease, which I adored!

I watched "The Girl" on HBO last night and though it was pretty blah. Really, it's Tippi Hedren's version of how Hitchcock ruined her career. Never mind that she wouldn't have had one without him. Sienna Miller was fine as Tippi, but I just find Toby Jones to be creepy in everything he does. I guess it could have been interesting, but frankly I find it hard to believe that Hitchcock was obsessed with Tippi and never hit on Grace Kelly or any of the other blonde beauties in his movies.

I've heard good things about it and want to see it before Budweiser has all the unlicensed product placements pulled!

I find anyone named "Toby" to be creepy, especially if its female.
