Well the bar was full of idiots so I didn't stick around too long. But I did get one of their club sandwiches to go. It's only 1500 calories. The fact that I know this sad.
Ya, so booze it up friends. I tipped the taxi driver $6 on a $6 fare. I didn't have a car today, hence the cab and HH.

Watching Cheers. Which raises the question, do you have a bar where they know you by name? I kind of wish I did.

Some of the cooks know me by name at my local Chilis. So sad, but so true.
But the regulars kick ass and the conversation is worth it. And I don't get charged for drinks. But I tip very, very well.

They know that I'll drop a $20 everytime I sit down and will only have a few drinks. But I always like a nice shot, no snifter, of GM. Those are $10 each.
If you are in the industry, 20% is the minimum. If they buy you a couple beers on a $15 check, I'll always leave a ten spot. It depends so much. I tend to tip better than some of my friends.
That's why it's nice to go to a place where you don't get hooked up, you don't have to think about it. And it's not expected.

And I do sometimes leave more than $20 when I get a $4 check.

Was going to put this in the worthless knowledge thread, but it seems more appropriate here:
"Highwayman Dick Turpin's dead body was exhumed by friends and taken on a pub crawl around York."

I could google, but I surmise it's a strip club? maybe not..
