Hey everyone, missed you guys a lot. What's new? What's on your agenda, are your loins stirring with newness (even as a late blizzard descends here)? How are you? What do you want to do this spring and summer? And have you been watching Broad City, or are you a humorless degenerate? , Let's discuss YASS QUEENZ

MERC!! I have no news to really report, but that's not always a bad thing. I have no idea what Broad City is, I've been watching House of Cards.
I'm still wrapping my head around that Kanye claims that the School of the Art Institute of Chicago is giving him an honorary doctorate degree? Bananas.
I'll look into Broad City.
We are trying to get more people to check this page and post, but it's proving to be very difficult.

Hey Hazz! - I yam wanting to try and post more. Miss you, miss peeps here! Lord knows I have plenty of random thoughts and shit and occasional outrage, I tell you! about life and the world, with no place to put them. Might as well smack them around here!
I'm lol at my "What does Spring mean to you" careful icebreaker. Like I have a fucking clue. I did buy some nice flowers today, all my ambitions accomplished!
Had my bro and sis and their spouses and kids over yesterday after a late St. Pat's parade, it was very fun. My sis reminded me that she had told me about Broad City months ago, I was sorry I didn't listen then! We cracked up remembering bits of it. S1 is on Amazon Prime, a chunka S2 oughta be on your local cable's VOD. It is wacky fun.
Hasta!

Now we're talking...great to have you back buddy! A sight for sore eyes (not that I don't loves the rest of y'alls). Being cable-less, I still haven't checked out Broad City, but I do believe the first season is on DVD, so I shall seek it out.
Meanwhile, I've been watching Two And Half Men - The Complete Series. Yeah, just kidding.

OH, I'm a sore for sighted eyes! I need a haircut so badly. I had a weird fucking Kafkaesque dream last night about getting one. Cray dream, some old guy barber I trusted started but didn't finish, and then I was going through some city and a rock show? looking for the barber to finish the job. I have the weirdest, most pointless dreams. I think besides my own dire unruly hair sitch, the season and possibly/probably series finale of Looking had Patrick going to see his doomed love Richie for a Haircut of Meaning, a crew-cut to send the bad vibes of Kevin away.. Oh, I'm digressing like a bitch. LP I hope you've seen Looking. So, so well done, beautifully acted and filmed. xo! (Ah, fuck it! Click thru to YouTube, plz..) youtu.be/LNqDrt_eZCY

Merc! Looking forward to spring, have started noticing the birds in my yard which makes me think the orthopedic socks are just around the corner, BUT I have a cardinal who knocks on my window in Iowa, that I am growing to love, and a red breasted robin in the vines behind my Chicago house, so spring is def on the way!
So speaking of hair cuts, I'm planning to go totally gray in a few days, like as in full out steely, no more blonde highlights, fucking witchy-Poo gray. Hope you will all still like me when I look old. I'll post pics once the deed is done, I guess its because I'm turning fifty later this year and see no reason to fight it anymore, I'm just glad to be alive.
Nice to have us all together again.

I have seen Looking actually, at least the first season, and a couple of the second (and sadly, last) season episodes as well. I was actually prepared to dislike it, to be honest, but yeah, I really enjoy it. There IS a poetry in the storytelling. I figured it was gonna be a rehash of Queer As Folk, but no...it is its own animal.
In other news, maybe I'm the only one who thinks so, but "Boots At 50" sounds kinda hot to me.

Bootsy! Much love to you me dear, so happy to reconnect! (and sorry to take so long to reply. We're all aging gracefully here, right? Now where did I put my spectacles..). I shall love you forever as we get Olde and Wise. Loved your birds story, nature is definitely waking up. You can smell it. Since I moved to an adjacent town, my bird sitch is a bit different. I was very happy to see a couple of red robins yesterday, and there was a redheaded woodpecker on my deck with the most amazing striped wings. My weirdest bird story this fall and winter is that my new area has great big black crows. At least in winter? Anyway, they are noticeable. they go in "murders" which is a fancy-ass way of saying a flock of too many of them. I hears this big freaking woomph! on my roof, and I was, WTF WAS THAT? It was about twenty black crows/ravens/agents of Satan all dropping down at the same time. I refuse to tale this as some ghastly omen! And sure enough, I just had to open the door and they scattered. the next day I saw them raping a neighbor's garbage. and I am sure these crows teamed up to knock the can over. ANYway, just want to wish everyone a great Eater and Passover. I celebrate the latter by sometime being a Pass-outer. I'm so into Easter this year, it's something I actually look forward to. ( I hated Spring because it meant working the window-cleaning I hated but loved and hated, my anxiety through the roof, a job I worked hard at and value in retro, but it really cost me psychologically-way more stress then necessary.Spring always meant anxiety attacks for me.) I'm into it now, I bought flowers and chocolates and wine, we're having my brother and sister and their spouses and my nieces and nephews over for dinner tomorrow, and I look forward to it. I bought a pair of "Eloise" story-books for my niece and god-daughter. She's a twin, and I find her brother a bit bossy to her, and Eloise is the rambunctious girl who lives at the Plaza and causes girly mayhem. I hopes he likes the books, it's the least I can do as cool gay uncle and god-father. It must suck to be a twin, having to share a birthday, so I am trying to make this special for her. Happy weekend to all of you, I really love you guys and miss you. Let's tawk anytime, here. Even if we don't respond right away, love reading you. XO!
