Dunno if it beats a Bang Tango & Kix cruise, but I'll take it.

I'd love to...saw them a bunch of times back in the day. Let me know when you have a date, and I'll do it if I can at all swing it.

You saw them back in the day? You lucky bastard. Of course, I'm sure Karen has too, as she is from MN.
I just remember playing the CRAP out of that 1986 A&M record and wishing they'd come within 150 miles of me.
Out in L.A., I ran into Beej at a party and stunned him with my Burbs knowledge. He thought he could stump me by asking me to name the two songs appearing on their final single back in the day.
"Little Man's Gonna Fall b/w Don't Do Me Any Favors," I shot back.
"Wow, you even knew the B-side," he said, surprised.
"I liked it better than the A-side," I admitted. .

Well, remember, I was living in Madison circa 1982-1986, and Minneapolis bands have an affinity for that little burg. Also how I got to see the Mats oodles of times. Of course, I saw both bands before I knew just how fucking great they are/were, so it's all relative. If I'm being honest, I kind of thought the Suburbs were overrated at the time, which had nothing to do with them and everything to do with some of the fans they had. I've never wanted to re-live any part of my life, but if I could go back and see some of the bands I saw then knowing what I know now? Hoo Boy.

Ain't that the truth, nothing firm, but today's emails back and forth with management, double door, etc are pointing at October 4 & 5. Paging Scott to the white courtesy phone! ( getting a Madison date is crucial to making this happen)
Lp, you come to town and there's gonna be a fucking party, drag billy with ya.

Dunno if it beats a Bang Tango & Kix cruise, but I'll take it. Fwiw my adorable husband is facebook friends with the bang tango drummer and it has led to endless rounds of me giving him shit, last highlight is me offering to buy him tickets for the cruise.

So I'm really psyched about this project-
Spent last night drinking the following:
apple ale strawberry wheat beer jalepeno lime ale biscuits & gravy ale (a smoked ale) Zepplin cream ale Beet ale (THE BEST!) Bourbon Ale Several shades of IPA A beautiful creamed stout honey basil ale
These mofos have their shit together and I am hoping they hire me to work with them to get their dream launched.
I could work with beer.

That would be freakin' awesome for you, Boots. I mean, that's a dream job to about 9 out of 10 people and you got it by the tail, baby.
Of course, they've also gotta know that you are a dream to work with as well. How can they not.
So when they gonna seal the deal?

Very start up phase- so things are going to take time, which is fine.
It's their dream, not mine, so I'm just a gun for hire, but the potential is amazing and it would be a really fun thing to put on the old resume, plus they seem like good people, and I love to see good people succeed.
AND the side bar of getting to drink beer all the time, like for WORK, that beats the hell out of scraping Shane MacGowan, and his one green tooth, off the showcase room floor any day.
Plus I think they need to commemorate each of their recipes, events, and milestones with custom t-shirts and tote-bags if you know what I'm sayin'?

Hmm, if only you knew someone who did t-shirts and tote bags?

Shane MacGowan, and his one green tooth HARF! Major belly laff! But dang, I don't even drink beer all that often anymore, and some of those sound really good. Strawberry Wheat? GUH!
