Wow, Juliana Hatfield just got PWNED. Great job Rainy.
When Dannya first made the request, I remember thinking "Why is Juliana Hatfield not absolutely huge when she has just as much talent (and looks) as any of the pop tarts we get tired of hearing about on a daily basis.
Having seen Rainy's version, I am now asking myself the same question of Rainy.

You are too kind. I think it would go a long way if I wrote my own material and could actually play the guitar. Thanks for listening.

I dunno, I tend to be of the belief that none, yes, none, of the big female pop acts can write their own songs without the help of a song doctor or six.
I had a conversation with an acquaintance of mine who recently co-wrote a tune with Taylor Swift for her latest record. I couldn't help but ask how much writing she did and his response was just to shake his head and say "not as much as she would like you to think".
Remember when Avril Lavigne was co-writing all her hits by essentially reading a magazine in the same room as The Matrix, who were actually doing the writing, then she took a co-write?
If you can write even a so-so song on your own, Rainy, you're that much further ahead of those gals.

Yeah, I heard that and thought it was a cover of a tune I was unfamiliar with...it's got a cool Fleetwood Mac vibe to it. So, you CAN write tunes, then. Next stop: the top. Thanks for all the support and for giving me an outlet to "perform". It really means a lot to me.

It's a gift to us. And I'm not just kissing your ass. No wonder your voiceover career is taking off -- you've really got the pipes and the knack for nuance. I was listening to some local radio commercials the other day and thinking "Jesus, did those people get paid to read like animated mannequins?"

Awesome job, Rainy! I know this is probably a dorky thought, but I imagine your next door neighbors turning down their TV (or whatever) whenever they hear you sing.

Thanks, Darren!
Haha about the neighbors. I doubt it. I sometimes have to play the song like 20 times in a row to be able to get a good video of it.
