Even I don't think Seattle should be in the top 10, but the truly insulting entry on that list is, hands down, Phoenix. Which is a city that has exactly the best NOTHING in the US.

I don't think I've ever seen anything more disconnected from reality and I've been on a plane with LaToya Jackson.

I mean, I've had pizza in a lot of cities.
The top two positions on ANY list of the best cities for pizza should automatically be filled by "Chicago" and "New York", #1 being contingent on which of the two cities you live closest to or last visited.
Phoenix, as LP noted, is a crime against pieholes. San Diego? Pfft, I've had better pizza in Irvine.

I lived there for 10 years, which may explain my bias. But as far as I'm concerned, there ain't no pizza like JERSEY pizza.
And the fact that San Diego was picked ahead of NY-expat-heavy LA is just ridiculous. No REAL pizza lover wants those California Pizza Kitchen bullshit-topping pies.....
Hell, I'm gonna have to go out and get a couple slices of pepperoni now.

The thing is, most pizza in Manhattan really IS mediocre at best. You really have to know or seek out the really good places. The best being Italian-American enclaves in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, even remaining older pizzerias in the Village. There, the pizza is divine. I don't think the people who made this list ventured to the boroughs. Oh well.

I'm just reading this crazy list now. Austin? I love this town, but for Pizza, not so much. There are a few good places, like Eastside Pies, but other than that, it ain't the place for it. Everyone raves about Homeslice, but I think it's just okay. I'm biased maybe but New York should be first and St. Louis should be on there, IMO. Serious Pie in Seattle is awesome, but yeah, it should not be in the top 10.

I really, really hope Johnny Weir, who's got a very large Russian following, and is married to a Russian, makes the Olympic team. And then proceeds to put on the gayest long form skate in history.
